Why does EHF conduct Olympiads?

EHF is a registered trust and a not for profit organization aiming to increase students interest in English/Math’s/Science/Cyber and Biotech (EVS). One of the best way to generate interest in a subject is by conducting Olympiads and workshops.

How does a student benefit by taking EHF Olympiads?

Participants of the Olympiads are ranked on the basis of marks obtained. Hence, after taking the test, students can judge themselves academically at three different levels - within the school, state level, and above all at National/International level. Finally students are suitably awarded based on their national/International ranking. The student also gets work books & activity books or CD's at highly discounted rates and invitation to workshops, seminars etc.

What is the role of C.D. meant for the coordinator teacher?

The C. D. essentially contains brief information about the Olympiad, sample paper, activity & work, syllabus guidelines, preview of workshops, Pre-Olympiad Seminar (POS) slides shows etc. The C.D. will help the coordinator teacher to deliver a talk to the students about the Olympiad. The C.D. is also sent when the coordinator teacher has consented for Pre-Olympiad Seminar (POS).

What are the rewards for Coordinator Teachers, School and Principals?

The coordinator teacher forms the most important link between the student and the foundation. Besides the C.D. the teacher is eligible for coordinator award. Principal awards and grants for school lab/school magazine and other benefits are given to the principal/school. The incidental expenses that the school bears as an examination centre are covered in the Rs. 10 retained by the school from the exam fees.

What are the benefits of early registration for these Olympiads?

The benefits of early registration for these 5 Olympiads is that the particular school can participate at right time and will get preparatory books early so that students swill get enough time to prepare for these Olympiads thereby ensuring higher merit rank. Late enrolment delays pre-exam processes including dispatch of the preparatory books for students and CD for coordinator.

I am interested to take part in the Olympiad. Tell me how will I come to know about the details of the exam?

All the relevant information is sent to the schools all over the country along with prospectus and registration forms and posters. The students come to know about the necessary details from their school teachers, national coordinator or through the Foundation's official website i.e. www.eduhealfoundation.org or foundations office (call 09811370229/011-26168623/26183198). Participation through schools only. Individual participation is not encouraged.

Are there any special books which the participants should refer to for the Olympiads preparation?

The student will be given a preparatory book which costs Rs. 15 (included in fees) which will contain plenty of practice/questions/sample paper/syllabus guidelines. This book you will receive after you have enrolled yourself for EHF Olympiad. The coordinator teacher will also be given a C.D. containing sample of the above material. This sample material is also available on foundation's website. In general, school text books prescribed by a relevant board are sufficient for the preparation.

What does the Preparatory and Activity Books contain?

These books are designed separately for classes 1 to 12. These easy to understand, informative, fun filled, curriculum based books will be useful not only for students taking the Olympiad exams but also for teacher/coordinator teacher, if he/she wishes, can also perform the above roles by conducting the Pre-Olympiad Seminar (POS) and can contact the national coordinator (09811370229) for further details.

Why these are multiples exam dates?

Based on 'no child left behind' policy of EHF the school can choose exam dates as per their academic schedule.

Why is there a last date of registration?

There is a last date of registration after which it is not possible to send preparatory or activity books especially to remote locations and that also in a limited period of time. This results in late delivery of books which defeats the very purpose of having preparatory books.

Is there any relaxation in the last date of registration?

Yes, only in case of cities (capital/metro/NCR) which are serviciable by NATIONAL LEVEL couriers.

What differentiates EHF Olympiads from some many other Olympiads?

Besides our preparatory books (which are workbooks) Activity Books, e-newspaper, CD for students and coordinators, prizes/ scholarship, student and teacher book club, genius student card, national award in educational leadership for teachers and principals, EHF focuses on remedies - student's workshop and teacher training programs.

Why Fees cannot be reduced?

Though a Non profit organization, EHF charges fee of sustain its activities which involves huge admin. cost besides cost of publishing books / CD /question paper / prizes/ certificate / e-newspaper / aptitude report/medals and for conducting workshops and training programs. The fee can be lowered if the above items are drastically reduced which will effect the very aim of EHF i.e. to increase student interested in subject like Math’s, Science, Biotechnology, English and Cyber.

We have already participated in one of your Olympiad in Aug, some more students want to participate in an Olympiad at a later date. Also some student would like to retest themselves. Is it possible?

What is OCMS and what is its importance for teachers?

OCMS is a course management and teaching tool devised by the EHF for free distribution to school. The online verso is available at www.myehf.org.

In the school award given by EHF consisting of laptop preloaded with OCMS, laptop will be installed in the staffroom of the schools where the teachers can come and create/manage course for the students. What is the national award in educational leadership for teacher and principal.

How does one get nominated?

Teachers who conduct Pre Olympiad seminar will automatically get nominated for award. Thereafter a detailed proforma will be sent to all the

classroom and lab activities sessions. The enrolled students will also get the annual e-newspaper. More activities can be found in the specially prepared Activity Book/CD which costs Rs. 20/-. Either CD or the Activity Bok will be sent. Some of the interactive questions asked in the Olympiad will be asked from the Activity Book. There is no Activity Book for English at present. The preparatory work book will be given to all enrolled students whereas activity book or its CD is optional for which the student has to pay an additional Rs. 20. The work books & activity books are given to student at highly concessional rate of 75% and 33% of the market price of Rs. 60 each. These books are also available at leading bookshops all over India.

I am going to write the Olympiads for the first time. Can I get sample papers?

Sample Papers are sent to all enrolled schools. EHF website also contains these papers.

Do I have to regularly visit your website for the latest update of EHF activities?

All the important information regarding Olympiads, Seminars, workshops, activity books, online courses etc., is available on our website. So it is beneficial for all to visit our website www.eduhealfoundation.org. Teacher and students can take part in online quizzes, workshops, view articles uploaded by students/teachers/principals of schools all over the world. All this and more on www.myehf.org. We have less than 50 students in our school who are interested to take part in the Olympiads.

Can we still enroll for the test?

Less than 50 students from a school are not viable for the Foundation to hold the exam. Hence at least 50 students per Olympiad should be enrolled from a school so that a school becomes a center. Fore more details contact National Coordinator on 09811370229.

When are the results of Olympiads declared?

After 8-10 weeks of the conduct of exam. The result will be declared on EduHeal Foundation website: www.eduhealfoundation.org and displayed for a month. It will also be sent to the school for display on Notice Board and e-mailed to Coordinator Teacher. First the school result will be generated and sent to school within 8 to 10 weeks. The state and national/international rank will be generated after conduct of all Olympiads. Thereafter in January prizes/scholarship/medal etc will be sent including invitation for prize distribution ceremony to be held on 15th May (EduHeal Foundation Day) at New Delhi).

Where is the centre & time of conduct of Olympiad?

The center for Olympiad will be student's own school. The school can conduct the Olympiad from 10-11 a.m.

Where are registration deadline? Registration is OPEN.

Kindly register as soon as possible on ore before last date of registration so that we are able to send BOOKS to enrolled students on time. The school while registering its students with EduHeal Foundation has to fill the following details in the school registration form; Name and address of the school, Principal and School coordinator name, number of students enrolled in each class, payment details and date of exam. The student's registration form is also given in which the student has to feed in his name and sign in the prescribed sheet. Additional forms, if required, can be photocopied.

It will be best if the school enrolls by April 5th so that preparatory book can be sent to the student before summer holidays.

What is the role of external Coordinator and resource persons appointed by EHF?

The external coordinator is a representative of EHF at the local level. He/she personally reaches out to each school in his/her area with information about EHF activities and helps in conduct of Olympiad. He/she also helps to conduct workshops/teacher training programme (with the help of Resource Person) and Prize Distribution Ceremony. The resource person will conduct or present workshops and seminars on Cyber, Science, Math’s and Biotechnology for school children. The school nominated principals and teachers. The responses will be submitted to the panel of eminent judges. The awardees principal and teachers will be invited to grand function on EHF foundation day. i.e. 15 May in New Delhi. One principal and teacher will be selected from each of the five zones (North, East, West, South and Central) and will be warded Rs. 10,000 and a citation.

What will be pattern of exam if there are multiple exam dates?

There will be different papers on different exam dates. Based on the syllabus covered the questions will be vary, for e.g. in Aug exam, 90% of questions will be from previous class and 10% from present class. In Oct. 60% will be from same class and 40% from previous class. In Nov 90% of the Questions asked will be from the present class and 10% from the previous class. The preparatory books are so made that they will prepare the child for Olympiad on any given date.

What will be the benefits of Certificate awarded by EHF?

According to the EHF the chief benefit is that in today's competitive world the student realizes his standing at National/International level. This helps him to gauze his preparedness for the exams which he will give at National/International level either in 10th or 12th. Based on parents / children feedback, the certificate have helped to secure educational loans, get scholarship and admission in universities aboard.


Ultimate aim of the Olympiad is to generate interest in the subjects. Same purpose is served by Student Academic Card which will give him various benefits whenever he participates in EHF Olympiads & motivates him towards a sound academic career.

Based on points accumulated he will be eligible for more prizes. Access to Academic activities to be conducted by EduHeal Foundation & other NGO's/Government & Semi-Government bodies. Parents can track his academic record online based on his performance in EHF Olympiads.
